Nowhere, man
Just finished reading the post about the guy who's stuck on 200 visitors a day. I wish. I've had my blog up for about six months and today I should hit the 4,000 visitor mark. In the past few months I've gone from 1-5 reads up to 15-20. I recently completed a run of 14 straight days in double figures. That's infinitely small potatoes to some of you, but exciting for me. I only wish my books were doing as well. Right now one of them has sold about 20 copies in the same amount of time, and the other, none since it came out in January. Talk about being invisible.
I find when I tie things to current events, I do much better. Sometimes I'll get 40-50 hits in a day, like when Davy Jones died and I posted my story on Peter Tork. Or when Laura Nyro got inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and I posted my interview with her. One day I posted a story on John Mayer and got over 400 visits from Stumbled Upon. But that never happened again. Today I put up a story on my encounter with Donna Summer back in '76.
Then again, I have no idea how I'd ever get from 20 a day to 200.
