Six Minute Story

How many of you are on Six Minute Story? I really like the time limit aspect of it and going with the daily prompt so that I can't think about what I'll write and get extra time.

For me, things like that just take away from the real, serious writing I want to have published. But if it's fun, it's fun.

Stories WRITTEN in 6 minutes or less? Does that include proofreading and edits?

I guess I wonder how they verify it.

I'd never write anything for that. I'm a little more ... anal about my writing and would need more time then that. It just seems to be encouraging sloppiness.

Now if they were 6 minute READS, that I'd be interested in.

I do a lot of oral story telling at story slams. The stories have to be under 6 minutes as told. But shoot, I probably spend 10 hours crafting what I'll say.

I know. I was making an comparison to how hard it would be for me to write something in 6 minutes, by sharing that is takes me 10 hours to craft a 6 minute story.
