ok, I find myself looking for a publisher. Haven't had to do that in awhile. Here's my story. I wrote a book, specifically for Ellora Cave's new line, EC for Men... which is basically, erotica for male readers.

but, I didn't realize that EC doesn't do serials. They do series, but not serials and I wrote this as book one a serial. Its too integrated into the story to remove it... enough that I wont, so... I need to find a comparable publisher who will do erotica for male readers and do serials. So, they declined on that point. =o( ... my bad. I should've checked BEFORE I wrote it. *lol* anywho...

I did some poking around and haven't found any publishers that can offer comparable sales support as EC... most of the ones I checked, are smaller and their sales rankings on Amazon tell me about where they rank in comparison... so I thought I'd ask you guys?

Any fairly established epubs that handle this sort of material?

Not alot of suggestions here... Hehehe. I did contact Samhain Publishing to see if it would be something they would disqualify without reading and they expressed interest in it. I thought i would share, in case anyone else was looking for a strong publisher, who would accept erotica for male audiences and a serial. Samhain did say it wasn't what they normally look for, but wanted to see it. I'm currently retooling the story, since it no longer needs to adhere to the guidelines for EC for Men. I'm broadening the story to hopefully appeal to female readers as well. Anywho.. in case anyone was curious...

Thanks for the heads-up. I figured somebody would be able to suggest alternate markets, even if I couldn't, and am sort of surprised no one did. But hey, self-reliance counts for something. Good luck with the retooled version.

Ya know, I was thinking the same question.

Either way, Brindle - your concept sounds great and I hope someone picks your work up! *fingers and toes crossed*

Ooh, toes crossed? I demand photos, because that's something you don't see every day, after all.

Maryn, curious

AW. A very nice place!
... you might ask the editor who wrote back to you from EC if they know a a publisher who'd be receptive to a series of the sort. It's worth a try. As an industry insider they might know. G'luck.

Maryn,

Unfortunately, in real life I am not that limber. My online version of myself can pretzel-twist my parts in any way I see fit.
