I wonder what he'd have to say about me trying to write YA books. At the ripe old age of *gasp* 25. When I should be trying to Contribute to World Literature.
It's not like me to get ranty, but this is exactly the kind of snobbery I can't stand. Because, y'know, when someone tells a good story, people are going to want to read it. Regardless of age. And in my mind that's exactly what makes a good book.
