those recipes all look great (awesome even!) but if you get a good batch nothing beats them plain.

Plain, or soaked in vodka.

Funny you should mention that Jenn, after reading the coffee vodka thread I went on a search for home made vodka fruit infusions/cordials/concoctions and came across this one, which looks fabulous and like it would be a blast to make.

I was also thinking raspberry vodka would be fun as well - maybe start early on some Xmas presents!

As for strawberry recipes (and continuing on the booze theme) my very favourite way to eat strawberries (besides fresh from the garden) is to macerate sliced, fresh strawberries in some sugar and some Grand Marnier (a few Tablespoons or to taste) for a while, then stuff them in crepes and top it all off with some whipped cream with some of the strawberry liqueur juices spooned on top. Strawberries have a real affinity for orange, and the alcohol in the liqueur heightens it's flavour - you get an outstanding dessert for little effort.

Whenever we have strawberries at the restaurant where I work I make a sauce for a piece of salmon by getting 1 or 2, smashing them up, and stirring in some balsamic and a tiny pinch of salt.

I also like some weird combinations so your enjoyment might vary.
