Good god. You want some recipes?
I've been blessed with the gravy gene, so I'm good there. I got the gene from my mother; apparently, her sister could only make meat-flavored library paste. I want to make some really good rolled biscuits for the gravy, though; the cafeteria at work makes these
dreadful drop biscuits so I get the hash browns and gravy instead.
I also like to do ribs on a low and slow roast. I put them in a pan with some water, cover it, and bake them at 275 for about five hours. I then slather on some sauce and bake for another hour. Also, a good way to bake ham steak is in orange juice. We're already planning on making our own bacon bits for salads (fry the bacon, drain on paper towels, cool, pulse in food chopper for a couple seconds, and viola) and jazzing up some store-bought baked beans with bacon. This is also a good time to bring up drop biscuits again, which are great with bacon (there's that word again), chives, and shredded cheddar, so we'll probably do a round or three of those.
It's late, I'm tired and blathering. COULDJA TELL?
