Um, that should be, "aye, aye," the common naval response of compliance to orders given, perhaps originating from British Parliament's, "aye," indicating an affirmative vote. Not to be confused with the nocturnal, tree-dwelling lemur native to Madagascar, the aye-aye.eye eye Captain
In perfect alignment!IIRC, my dad, an ex-Navy LTCDR, told me that the single "aye" means "yes", and the double "aye aye" means something like, "yes (I acknowledge) and am responding", e.g. as a response to an order.
How does my second-hand info line up with your first-hand experience, Russ?
