So I donated a few bucks, (not very much) and now I'm a "Benefactor Member." Which is good but I feel like I should be wearing a monocle. Is there a way for me to edit my title?

Yep.
-Go to your User CP (upper left hand side of the blue bar--right above where it says "Post Reply")
-Under Your Profile, also on the LH side of the screen there is an option to "Edit Your Details". Click on that.
-From there, you'll have a variety of text boxes you can enter info into to change your details. You want "Custom User Title."
-Adjust accordingly.

You betcha! Some wear the "benefactor" label with pride, and some would rather keep that to themselves.

Look at the Optional Information part, which includes Custom User Title. Many people make it something about the avatar, but you can make it whatever you like that fits the space and is unoffensive. Save the changes and voila!
