hey everyone from Southern California. my name is Madeleine. i am active on a couple of other writer's forums as well. this one seems very large!

looking forward to getting to know the routine here and settling in.

i have 2 kids, and i work online grading homework and scoring speaking exams.

i like foreign languages, travel, writing, exercise, skiing, and reading.

Yes, this is a large site with a great many forums and discussion groups. You'll find what suits you best.

I, too, spent some time in SoCal--San Diego, specifically--for a number of years. Make yourself at home here in AW.

If you go to the bottom of the page to the 'forum jump' you can scroll down and find all the areas of this place. After you post 50 posts you can use the SYW areas to get help there. The password for some of the areas is…..vista. A word to the wise, it would be a good idea to participate first in helping others before you think about posting your own work. After you have been around here for awhile, then post something of your own for help. Good luck.

wow, i don't think i've ever gotten so many replies to a post of mine, so fast....

that's ok about the 50 posts needed. i like critiquing and i can post my work at other sites til i get there. and i like lurking and reading too.
