Hi AW!

I write science-fiction and fantasy, but lately only the latter. I also write and edit non-fiction books and articles for income, but I'm all ready to dump that if my dreams of a successful fiction-writing career materialize one day (crossing all my fingers and toes!). I have one short fantasy story published in an anthology, and I'm now preparing to hunt for an agent for my long, 138,000-word fantasy novel.

Currently, I am struggling to polish up my pitch and synopsis. It's all so vexing to me I sometimes find it hard to sleep.

Welcome, Cloudcastles

I hope you enjoy the resources and your fellow writers here at AW. Whatever you do, keep writing. All writing is one long apprenticeship. Again, a warm welcome.
Regards,

Welcome! Sometimes I think writing a pitch and synopsis is harder than the actual novel itself, but you can do it!

Welcome to AW. Hope you enjoy your stay with us.
How do you like your popcorn?

If you go to the bottom of the page to the 'forum jump' you can scroll down and find all the areas of this place. After you post 50 posts you can use the SYW areas to get help there. The password for some of the areas is…..vista. A word to the wise, it would be a good idea to participate first in helping others before you think about posting your own work. After you have been around here for awhile, then post something of your own for help. Good luck.

Absolutely. I came to the same conclusion myself. But I'm still doubtful how well I can write my pitch and synopsis; at least with the novel I knew what to do. :tongue
