I’m interested in being a beta. This would be my first time, so I was thinking it might be a good idea to partner somebody who’s at the same early stage of his or her writing career. I was hoping to read for somebody who would be willing to read for me a few months down the road.
I write science fiction and fantasy, and would ideally like to beta the same. I’m also open to historical, erotica, horror, and suspense. Sex, swearing, violence, and gore do not bother me.
Line editing is something I’m still learning, but I have a decent grasp of pacing, flow, world building, and general character believability. I can give and take blunt criticism.
I also have a fair bit of experience in the queer community, so if you are writing about that and you need a gut-read, I’d be a good fit.
