Ok, I'm having a bit of a problem here. I'm trying to decide if I want to write the prologue novel, The Omni War, or if I want to finish the first book in the series, Journey to the Lost Universe then write the Omni War.

Normally I wouldn't have any problem deciding. I would write the first book. However, the main character of The Omni War disappears at Chapter 1 of Journey to the Lost Universe.

When you (the reader) learn of the disappearance of that character I want you to not only feel for the main character of the first book, but to actually care about the victim beforehand. My question is, would you actually care about the victim if you read the Omni War then found out about the disappearance?

Btw, I'm writing the Omni War whether I write the first book first or not.

Not a clue who the 'victim' is.

BTW, write what you want first. Don't assume that, whether you write the first book first or not, every reader will have read the first book before they read the second one. Write whichever has the stronger story and the stronger characters

Stronger story award goes to "Journey to the Lost Universe," (the first book).

It's a draw for the stronger characters part though.

I guess I could have explained the victim a bit more though. After all, I only really said he was the main character of the prologue. I never mentioned he was the mc from the book's father.

I guess if anyone cares enough to know I'll explain the mc from the prologue.

Thanks
