I have a conundrum. I have five ideas for a story, but all of them are drastically different. I can't choose which one, so which one do you guys like best?
None of these are Earth, they're different worlds, just with influences from real places and times.
(1)*The first one is set in an age equatable to the late 18th century (Colonial/Napoleonic Era.) And would mirror the Napoleonic Wars and the French revolution, but in a fantasy setting, with standard Dwarves, Elves, Orcs, Giants, ect.
(2)*The second is pseudo-medieval early 17th century--think the 30 Years' War--in the transition period between traditional medieval warfare and the advent of firearms. It would focus on the conflict between the dying old ways (magic, creatures) and the growth of widespread technology.
(3)*The third takes place in a full on 19th century world. It would be more Heroic Fantasy, though, with a major war as the background but not the focus. Think old Russian and East European folklore, witches, vampries, werewolves and the like.
(4)*The fourth is set in a time similar to the early 1900s, right before WWI. It would be like the second one, but the basis would be that the rivalry of Tech Vs. Magic has reached its pinnacle in a World War type scenario, with the races that favor the "old way" on one side and the races favoring technology on the other.
(5)*And the fifth is a straight Roman style world. It leans more towards the mythology side, instead of standard fantasy. It would focus on the growth and rise to power of a powerful empire.
Edit for clarification: There seems to be some confusion over what I'm asking, so I'll say this: I'm simply wondering which setting you find most interesting. Which one makes you go "Aw, cool! That sounds like fun!" I have plots, characters, ect. ect. ready to go for all five, but I'm trying to decide which one to start with. I want to know the most interesting to you, personally. I'm asking for your personal opinions. If you were to create a world, and could only choose from these 5, which would you pick. Not which has the best plot, or which one is a full story. Which setting sounds the most interesting. I thank you all sincerely for the input anyway, though, and the confusion is my fault for not wording my request properly.
