Hello,
I've been using Paint Shop Pro 6 for some time now and I've never really had any problems with it. Just now, however, it has decided that it hates me and everything I try to do.
Without warning it throws up an error message: The instruction at "0x7c910ef4" referenced memory at "0xfffffff8" The memory could not be "read"
It then crashes and looses everything I had done.
Does anyone know how I can stop it doing that?

Augh. That sounds like a bad pointer dereference in the guts of the code or one of the libraries it uses. If you haven't already, rebooting the computer may fix it, but there's no way you can stop it from happening again if it gets in the mood. I'm assuming, of course, that you haven't changed anything else of significance between now and the last time it was working. If you've updated anything or installed new software, you may have to roll it back. PSP6 is quite an old piece of software and could conceivably get confused by updated libraries or newer versions of Windows.

We decided that a change of software was a good idea. I got gimp today - much more user friendly.

I'm glad, but you may be the first person ever to say that.

I must have neglected to do so, or you overlooked that post. ;)
GIMP's interface is a thousand times easier for me to work with than any flavor of Photoslop.
