I'm writing a story with a character with a female AI assistant who I can't think of a good name for. Any suggestions? It should sound sort of alien, but still be easy to pronounce. "Darrak Torran" is an example of the type of names this species has.

The Infinity Forge.
Naming anything alien can be a pain, in my experience.
Does the Intelligence get to choose its own name, or is a name given to it? If the latter is the case (depending on context, of course) it might simply be referred to as 'AI' or 'computer' or even 'machine'. If it gets choice, it might not choose a name so much as reference some historic event or individual, or perhaps even name itself in binary or some other machine code.
I know I didn't answer with any suggestions as such, but I thought I'd share some ideas. That said, I'm struggling with names for my human AIs, much less the alien intelligences.

I'm pretty sure her name was picked by the people who wrote her, though these AIs are pretty human and might pick human names for themselves.

What are naming conventions in the society? Do people carry on family first names, turn surnames into first names, like to begin names with the same letter?

Would she have a manufacturers' name or model number that could be turned into a nickname? Is she part of a product line? If she's an assistant, would her name reflect the entity she's assisting?

I have problems naming things too. I've called my characters "Main Character" or "Friend" well into the second draft sometimes.
