I'm looking into Smashwords as a way to expand where my husband's books are available.

On the sign-up form, I started filling in with data for Achronal Press, our imprint.

But Smashwords' form says
Optional: Enter your real name (or pen name), as you want it to appear on your profile page, reviews and published books.
Note: If you publish books, and would like them shipped to retailers, you should enter your real name or pen name.

I had planned to use the name "Achronal Press." But this looks like that may actually make it impossible to distribute books, which was the whole point of this.

Any opinions?

Smashwords lets you create a publisher account, then you can create author accounts linked to that account.

Edit: note that you may need to create the account first and then upgrade it to a publisher account, I'm not sure whether you can get there directly.

Publisher accounts are for publishing multiple authors and this publisher (based on the link) appears to have only one author.

Even if the OP plans to publish multiple authors in the future, Smashwords is still going to want the author name in the author name field when filling in the forms.
