My 23-year-old son, who is a considerable connoisseur of cheese, brought home some Limburger to try tonight. I asked him where he got it, and he named a local chain supermarket, which I know has a very good and broad specialty cheese section. I said that to him, and he said, No, I got it in the regular cheese section. To which, after a pause, he added:

"They don't keep Limburger with the nice cheese."

... that's the cheese that's always poked fun of in cartoons. Does it really smell horrible :-D

Until yesterday I have said it kind of reminds you of athlete's foot in aroma, like a whole locker room full of it ...

Dad brought some that tastes as good as any I've had but you got to put it close to your nose to smell .. same aroma but less intense.

I'll take it either way.

I wish I knew where to get decent cheese in my area, cheddar and cream cheese are not enough for a French woman. I need a new cheese every day dagnabbit!
