Okay,

So I sent out a last stitch effort a few days after I dropped my agent. I am really burned out from the last two agents I had. Seriously. It was like a bad break up. I sent out query just so i could say I tried everything.

Then I get an email offer of rep. very solid agency. Cant say anymore right now. I said yes. Im just feeling...
once bitten...ya know?

Anyway, wish me luck

here we go again...

So, grace. Take a step back. Look at the agency. Look at the agent. Think about where your previous three agents failed you. Ask many many questions of this agent to avoid falling into the same and new problems. I know one problem you had was an agent not handling your other genres. Make sure this one is interested in other ideas or already written stories you have. If there were personality clashes of some kind, make sure these won't be the same for this agent (for example, I know an author who makes sure any new agent she gets is willing to communicate all the time and quickly because her first agent disappeared off the face of the planet and never responded to anything she sent her). Talk to current clients to get the positives and negatives of this agent.

Good luck.

Thx for the well wishes

Sage, hi!

Its been a while. I talk to the agent and she seems very capable. But they all start out this way. I found that agents can always say the right thing but its time that really reveals the truth. I guess the same goes for life in general. We shall see: )

That's why you should absolutely talk to current and past clients. Find out their experiences.

And buck up :) With the quick turnaround you've repeatedly had from losing an agent to getting a new one, your work must be very good indeed. You shouldn't have too much problem with the right agent getting to the next stage (publishing!). Is this your angel novel? I have a soft spot for angel stories and I know how much you love that series.

Sage:)

Unfortunately its not the Angel story. That really is where my heart is. its is also three years of my life (sigh) this novel is romance/comedy YA.
I have decided to self pub the angel book. I hit up about 300 bloggers and about 20%
Of them have agreed to read and review. some of them have over a thousand followers.

I also have five online interviews lined up to promote it. Its only been out six weeks. I know i have to push the marketing and wait. I know its not an over night thing but I'm so worried it won't sell. Although I know its way too early.

Wow,sorry for long post.lol
Hope things are going great with you
