Hi everyone,
My name is Joe Zieja, and I'm a writer.
At least, I like to think of myself as a writer. In real life I work for The Man (take that any way you want) but I've been writing since I could hold a pencil. I've only really started to take this seriously within the last year or so, during which time I've penned nearly 3 full length novels and 30 some short stories, 10 of which have been published in various low-paying markets across the web and in print.
I have a blog here where you can see all that boring stuff, but really I'm here to become a better writer. I write mostly speculative fiction, and of that mostly fantasy. I've been told I'm a good humorist, but unfortunately I like writing epic fantasy too much to try and make a fool of myself all the time.
I'm interested in fast-paced exchange of works for critiques, as well as novel swapping. I generally get things done fast (10fastfingers.com has clocked me at speeds as high as 150 WPM) and I'm generally a nice guy (honest, but nice).
Anyway, looking forward to working with you all. I was referred here by someone at another writers' forum, made specifically for speculative fiction.
Joe
