I'm in full swing with my ebook publishing, and based on sales, my main direction is going to be theme park and travel guides. Right now, I'm just publishing them under my name, but should I add a publishing moniker? It would look more professional, but I don't know if readers really care about that sort of thing. I already have an LLC and business address/phone line for another business I run, so I could easily put a DBA under that umbrella. I'd love opinions on whether or not it's worthwhile. Obviously, my publishing company would only be publishing my own works.

The only reason I can see is for tax purposes (if there was somehow a way you would end up with more money in your pocket). I don't think most readers, at least the ones I know, take much notice of publishers. If they like the cover, description, and the first few pages, they buy the e-book.

Thanks for the input. I don't think it would allow me to take any additional write-offs, so looks like I might as well just stick with just my name.

I did, but it mainly comes from keeping the options open. I may want to publish other people later on down the road, and I'm sure they don't want me (as an individual) plastered all over their book.

It's a preference if you never want to publish others. Some like it, some don't care.
