Dumb question I can't find the answer to... [putting links/image in sigline]

Are you still stuck? That thread may have been a round-about way of saying that your image is hosted somewhere inappropriate, but if it wasn't, I'm not sure what it was supposed to tell you. I THINK it's okay to post links to Amazon, since you're just sending people over there, not taking images from them, but I'm not an expert, so maybe that was the problem?

Assuming that everything's kosher, my non-expert version of instructions for setting up a link is to copy the website address you want to link to, then go to your sig editor and highlight the image you want to use as a button, then hit the little button with a chain (link) in front of it from the menu bar. A box will pop up for you to paste the website address into, and you should be good to go.

Exchange the {} for [] and you should be good to go.

ETA: the above won't work if you're hotlinking an image.

e.g.

White Tiger

You can also use the little planet+link icon on the editor menu bar. If you select a word (a novel title, say) in your post, then click on the icon, a pop-up will prompt you to paste in the URL. This will be inserted into your post in much the same way as the above manual edit method.

Oh, as Cyia suggested... if you wanted to make a clickable link out of your novel cover pic, you'd use:
