Hello there

*Carefully side steps the newb traps*

Hiya folks. I brought beer. It's 3PM here, that's plenty late enough for beer right?

Just want to say that February's prompt is awesome. I've got a fun idea in mind, and I hope to have enough posts to participate by the end of the month. If so you will know the face of true horror! The quality of my writing. Muhaha!

Seriously though, I hope to get to know the folks of this awesome community.

Hello there Rabid Capybara (I LOVE capybaras! They're so cute and cuddly! *former guinea pig owner*)

You know, beer is really great to cook with. I think we have a couple really good marinade recipes for meat that involve beer (not that they ever get made because the boys drink it all right away).

Do you like BBQ?

You mean love Capybaras as in admire right? I hoe not love them in the way of certain South American indigenous tribes?

As a Texan for the last few years I've grown to really love BBQ. I prefer beef brisket to BBQ newbie though, especially if it's me on the menu!

Besides, I'm old (35 this month), so bound to be tough, stringy, and completely unpalatable.

I'm sure the dragons don't mind a little crunch.

The gaseous pit of stupidity
NewBQ! I missed it? 35 old? That's a prime time. Good firm cuts of meat there.
Besides I've had plenty of great grandparents reach there 90s and still driving or gardening and being generally active.

Also bad news of the day: Sidewall blow on a tire due to my own stupidity.
Other annoying news: Received a subpoena to testify in an attempted burglary.
Good news: my Ringu anthology of terror arrived today.

I have a tummy ache and don't know why. Well, I might know why... 4 shots of espresso on an empty stomach that was then left empty for 5 hours except for some medicine.

Anyone doing anything fun tomorrow for the Super Bowl?

We are supposedly making pizza. I hope that will be fun.

Since I'm not a football fan, I'll be writing/reading. :D

Oh, and eating.

Pssstt...
Soapy? Um...Do you need...?

I have an extra in my purse, yanno...if you need it or anything....

We love BBQ around here.

And old, tough meat was why a good slow smoke was invented.

What? Is the meat waiting until I leave to come in? How're we supposed to have a proper newbyque when they've learned to sidestep my traps and wait till I'm not even in the building?

Drat, I say. Just drat!

<sets to work on new and more devious traps>

Did someone say 'flask'?
