Is anyone else having trouble getting a reply from them?

I asked for an ITIN letter several weeks ago. It hasn't arrived yet and I can't get a peep out of their support. I even emailed them direct and was promised by Mark Coker that he was seeing to things and had passed the details on to support. I haven't heard a thing back since and that was a week ago.

Makes me wonder what support their customers are experiencing.

I've gotten a reply within a week—but I've also had another reply take 3 weeks. Yes, both recently.

My guess? They're swamped with e-mails. Particularly since the CSR who took 3 weeks to get back to me completely screwed up and demanded content changes of story "samplers" that were short stories with excerpts in back. (And the stories were clearly marked as having excerpts, both on the description page on the site, and a few times in the e-book text itself.)

*twiddles thumbs* Still waiting for that to be cleared up, though I'm in the queue.

Just hope your case has been assigned to Raylene. She's good.

I had to contact Smashwords earlier tonight when my e-book was kicked back because I had accidentally placed too many tags on it. Oops. I didn't realize there was a limit (now I know it's ten). I fixed it, but then found no way to resubmit it for review, so I kept getting the "modifications required" on my dashboard. I sent an e-mail with their "contact us" form and hope it will resolve the issue soon. Frustrating since it wasn't an issue with the actual e-book itself. Should have been a quick and easy fix.

Based on one of the Site announcements, they seem to be going through some growing pains. In a good way since they're adding staff to try to catch up but the staff has to be trained. My recent query regarding tech support took two weeks for an answer.

They finally got back to me but their answer seemed a bit noncommital. I'll just have to wait and see if what they said pans out (that the letter I'm after goes out in batches and that the next batch is in 5-10 days).

I can only imagine the kind of email volume they're receiving with people trying to get their books removed from Smashwords in favor of Kindle Select.

Before Select, I had no problems with correspondence. After Select, it could take some time.
