I'm about to have a website created for my books. I'm most probably going to pay a professional, I have one in mind who charges reasonable prices and I like his portfolio so no problems there. My curiousity is as per thread title.
I'm with Lightning Source so my distribution is worldwide. Initially with my lack of experience I thought this kind of distribution would likely generate a few more sales than I have got since I started in Sept last year (11 print £12.95 RRP, not made into ebooks yet) but I find this link mentioned on here in the recent past interesting...

I will attempt to market the site globally as it's the internet so potential customers could be from anywhere. I wonder if I should catagorise by country? e.g. to buy: click here for the America, click here for Australia etc?
I notice Dan Browns site catagorises by wholesaler, not geographic location...

So on the other hand would not having an account with a wholesaler perturb a potential customer? therefore listing by wholesaler is as, or more important? Of all the online bookwholesalers in Australia I wouldn't have a clue which most Australians are registered with. I could accomodate for all options? but that would involve more space like an entire page dedicated to it but kept easy to navigate and not confusing.
Any ideas welcome!
