Has anyone tried writing a true crime story for Kindle as a single? I wonder if this format would work for true crime.
I know some women making three, four, five hundred dollars a month from their Kindle singles in romance and home making tips. Hmmmm...

What's a single? Like a short story? Great idea, if so...

I definitely think this would work. Kindle singles that are high on entertainment value do well. My recommendation (just based on hearing from successful Kindle authors, not from my own expertise) would be to set it up as a series even as you do your first one, so it would be:

Cameras in the Court, The Casey Edwards story (True Crime Series, Book 1)

or some such. I don't know anything about true crime but they usually seem to be cases that the public is fascinated by, which seems like a really good topic for Kindle Single

Mark, Singles are just little shorts you read on your Kindle from 5,000 to 10,000 words of self publishing.
Definitely something to think about.

I start thinking about this about once a month and then always back away. It seems like a possible way to make a little money. But then I think maybe it's not so easy. I'd love to hear your experience if you do it. (I wouldn't be doing true crime, though it does sound like a good genre for the format.)

Trixie, have you done or heard anything about this? I have an article I was working on about abuse in relationships and would like to hear how this worked out for you.

And I love your sig about royalties!
