Hello Absolute Write.
I suppose this is the part where I introduce myself?
My real name's Aaron. I stumbled upon writing a bit like a drunk stumbles through the door of his house--clumsily, but with an inexplicable familiarity. I floated between science programs at University before dropping it all and falling dangerously in love with a writing project which has become my first manuscript after nine months of revision and thorough research into literary theory.
I like to question fiction, and fiction likes to question me. It's the most functional relationship I've ever had. Despite my rather precarious financial situation, I've never been happier (living frugally seems to suit me anyway).
I'm the sort of writer to draw inspiration from anything and everything. I've got the right sort of mind to start grabbing imagery from everything available, smashing it together until a story takes form. I guess it was always habitual--I just never realised it until I started writing.
I'm the sort of reader/viewer that doesn't discriminate on genre. I'll give everything a chance to impress me.
Other than writing I do archery, swimming, reading (duh), and amateur criminology studies. I used to do Taekwondo (nine years, 2nd Dan black belt) but haven't been at it for a little while. I do have a favourite charity which I want to promote ( Charity: Water) with some of the money raised by my work when it publishes. If you like effective charities, check it out.
I guess that's it.
For now.
