I just published a romance on Kindle and Nook under a pseudonym, not because I want to stay anonymous but because it's part of a series and I want to keep it separate from my non-fiction work.

I have a well-established platform under my real name, under which I usually write, that would be very good for promoting the romance. I write about the Orlando theme parks, and each novella in my romance series has the parks as a backdrop. Would it be too confusing to people to see me promoting something as mine under one name when the book itself shows a different author? Should I just be patient and see how the book does without promotion? This dilemma is a first for me.

I don't think it would be confusing. Nora Roberts writes under the name J.D. Robb. I still know it's her and she even lists the books in her romance novels under the pseudonym. Some people may find it confusing at first, but once they know, and if your books are all listed on your Amazon Author page, it won't take long for people to realize it's simply a different genre.
