I'm kinda new here, so I don't know if it's okay to recommend a resource. If it is, here's my advice. If it isn't you guys are just looking at a line that says post deleted by moderator, so "Never mind" like Emily Latella used to say
I just bought and read Stacia Kane's "Be a Sex Writing Strumpet". Before I read it (and the reason I bought it) I was very uncomfortable with some of the sex scenes I was writing.
I have to say, it was worth the price. It helped me be comfortable with what I had written. I found the blog format a little weird, but it was just because I didn't read that the description clearly stated it was from her blog. Even with that small caveat - it was worth it and now I have it as a resource.
I improved some of my current book's scenes, changed some of it, and actually felt okay with adding a scene that I had not even envisioned, but one that furthered the story and clarified the character.
Anyway, she doesn't know me from Adam, but if anybody needs some good clear advice from an experienced author, you'll get it from her in this book.
