"The Closer" Canceled

Seriously bummed that only six episodes will air this summer and then "The Closer" will come to an end.

Wondering if they will do a generic ending like: Brenda's dad takes a turn for the worse, Brenda leaves her job because of the lawsuit she refuses to settle (?), and/or Brenda gets pregnant.

I thought they were to cancel it last summer! There were all sorts of "final episode" commercials. So when it "ended" with the lawyer claiming to pursue Brenda until she quit, I thought that was the weirdest ending to a series yet. I couldn't believe it when the series came on again. I'm glad though, because I love that show!

Well, apparently, the end is for real this time. Six more episodes coming this summer and the series will be over.

They've had a good run. The cast chemistry has been great, the writing tight, and Kyra Sedgewick is one of the best actresses going.

Agree. And celebrate, a good, intelligent, well-crafted TV series, being ended at probably the right time. I had a slight feeling that it had become more predictable in the past year or so. Better end it at a quality moment than the let it drift into lameness.

Yep. Go out on a good note. Besides, there will be a spin-off with Capt. Rader (sp?). I'll give that a shot. Anything with Provenza and Flynn has to be worth watching, right?

I didn't know there was going to be a spin off? Link please? That would be awesome. I think Provenza and Flynn are hilarious. But I kinda favor Sanchez myself but maybe that's just because... nevermind. TMI. :evil
