Happy holidays friends!
I hope you don't mind
But I've put together this rhyme
First, I think that that we can all agree
White or black or green
That Christmas is a special sort of time
No matter of your religiosity
You see, what makes it special is that
It celebrates the bonds of family and friends
And though not all of us have the same amount of
Stuff
Most would admit, that we don't have it that
Tough
And that it's not as bad here as say it is in
North Korea
Even if you had to fight for it
Even if you had to earn it
Don't forget how lucky you are
To have what you have
To be as healthy as you are
To have healthy children
To have a roof over your head
Because sometimes I have to slap myself a little
To remember what I have
I guess we just might have to forgive and forget
Forget the bad, and forgive:
Forgive others, for their
Mistakes
And even forgive them for their bad luck
(As Bill Hicks said:
It does not take much to put a man on the street:
The wrong woman, the wrong friends, the wrong bar)
Remember
You can only give when you have something to give
It does not take much
To put a smile on a child's face
To make their pain a little easier to face
Please give generously this Christmas
I hope you don't mind
