Self-published authors find e-success

I hope I'm not breaking any rules but felt this would be of great interest to everybody here!

In 2009, Michael Prescott's dream died, or so he thought.
After graduating from college in 1980, Prescott had labored for almost three decades to become a best-selling novelist, writing more than 20 books under various names. He enjoyed critical praise and some successes.

But when 25 publishers passed on buying his thriller Riptide, Prescott thought the gig was up. Then, on a whim, he decided to self-publish it as an e-book.

lvcabbie, you mustn't quote entire articles like that--you're infringing the copyright of the original author by doing so, which is not treating your fellow writers with respect.

You can quote a small portion of an article if you want to, so long as you credit the author and link back to the original.

I've edited your original post to reflect these laws and guidelines.

As a matter of fact, yes; as has been explained to you previously, copying whole articles violates copyright and is against board policy. What part of that do you not understand?

There is a hacker on my local newspaper's e-forum who is trying to make life difficult for me.
I just tried the link and it opened up my blog with no warning whatsoever!
I have no idea what's going it.
