How do you format A/V content into a script?

Does anybody have any ideas? I've got a full-length play I'm just finishing up for readers. Several times in the course of the play, there are Power-Pointish "presentations" that accompany characters' speeches, series of stills or brief, simple animations to be shown on a screen. I have no real idea how to present this in the script without totally disturbing the flow of the read. I've thought I could supply a flash drive containing the pictures along with the script, and/or pages with thumbnails of the pics?
Has anybody else ever had to deal with this, or seen how others have handled it?

Thanks! Just joined the forum, it seems one of the few places on the web where such a question might be answered by sensible, knowledgeable people!

I'd do it like a footnote. Something like (Slide 1 is projected on the screen.) And then at the end of the play put Slide 1, if the specific pictures or diagrams are important. You might want to make the presentation yourself - I had a power point presentation in a play as well and the tech guy for the production made a really slick, really fancy presentation, which was totally wrong. (Mine was supposed to be made by a 13 year old kid, so it needed to look shitty.)

Interesting challenge. In an actual A/V script - it's presented on paper as dual-column. In other words, the page is divided by a center line. Column left will have the video/image while the right hand column will describe voiceover narration or text.

Google "A/V SCRIPT FORMAT" for examples.

I suppose you could do the same thing, within the context of a stage play format?
