Okay, a quick turnaround since it's already the 6th! Vote early; poll closes in two days.

Since it's the holidays and folks are busy, we can easily continue this discussion into January. (Which unofficially is always the case. I'm still hoping folks will bump old threads...)

Perhaps you need a little down time anyways, alone with a book and away from others during the end of the year ;)

Anywho, I kept it down to four choices, to help the poll along.

The Caves of Steel by Isaac Asimov
The Skinner by Neal Asher
Old Man's War by John Scalzi
Leviathan by Scott Westerfeld

It's Caves well away from the pack going into the first turn! Can Caves keep this early lead going or will the others catch him before the wire?!

Leviathan is well behind but keeping steady. The other two books are at the gate and looking dazed. How will it end? How Will It End?!

I don't like that this isn't an open poll. Usually, at this point if the book I liked wasn't winning, I would be sending out threatening PMs. But since I can't tell who's voted yet or not, it messes up my system.

Luckily I also voted for Caves of Steel, so it's a moot point anyway.

Hehe, yeah, I noticed I forgot to make it open. I wanted to know who was on the band wagon and not voting for Leviathan ;)

Eh, I'm not in a Asimov mood, plus, there are so many better written SF's out there. So I'll just sit this one out. ;)

I'll out myself: I voted for Leviathan, mostly because it's already in my TBR pile. Laziness keeps me from the hopping on the bandwagon.

Two for Leviathan, but Caves still has a stong lead!

C'mon Leviathan!

And here I went and voted for Old Man's War, because I have been up to my eyeballs in SF for the past fifteen weeks and if I have to read more SF, I'd at least like to choose something I want to read. (Seeing Leviathan in the poll reminded me to see if the third book is out yet though.)

If I'd seen how far Asimov was in the lead, I wouldn't have bothered. I'd say his fiction bores me to tears, but it really just bores me to do something else instead. (Unless I'm reading it for school. Then out comes the red ink and the sporks.)
