Need help with formatting a Word doc

Hi there techies! Once more I need your help....

I formatted a Word document to send it to my Kindle; I formatted it to Web Page, filtered.

So now it is one long focument without page breaks, single spaced, covering the whole of the Word screen, no margins.
I want it back the way it was before; ie on separate pages, with margins, etc.
Even though I have set it with margins, I can't for the life of me get it back to its pervious format. When I use the Save As function it just stays the same.

Double spacing is easy enough; I;ve done that. It's the page formatting I can't get right. And I've tried everything I can see up there.
Help?

For future reference, I don't believe that any special formatting is required for a Word document to be readable on your Kindle. I have e-mailed several unaltered Word docs as attachments to my Kindle's e-mail address and the Kindle has displayed them perfectly.

Vin, that's pretty useful to know--but what version of Word? Mine's old and maybe the elderly ones are less compatible?

Maryn, I was using Word '97 at the time (yes, I am the last kid on my block to update). I recently installed Word 2010, but haven't yet sent any docs from that to my Kindle.

Medievalist, I have the Kindle Keyboard, which I bought in January of this year. I haven't updated its OS from the one that it shipped with.
