Does anyone know how Amazon calculate this?
I've got two books with one publisher. One book has sold 50 copies and is ranked 200,000 in the kindle sales rank. The other has only sold 12 copies and is ranked 16,000. Hmmm.
How does that work? Surely the more you sell the lower/better the ranking gets. No?
One reason could be a time lag between Amazon and the publisher reporting the sales I suppose. But I wondering if the sales rank is based on sales alone or are other things, like reviews, at play?
