FARCE: 'Kelly's Heroes' - 'Bowfinger' - 'Italian Job'

Welcome any and all suggestions for writing farce akin to capers or send ups such as 'Italian-Job'(69) . . 'Kelly's-Heroes' . . 'Bowfinger'?

It seems a wonderful genre, allows for high entertainment while still making a point not forgetting some timeless memorable characters.

thanks in advance

I wish I knew the answer, but I suspect the project relies upon and pivots around a cool/fun, sarcastic/cheating, quick-thinking/cunning central character we can applaud, laugh at, and root for, all at the same time. Not too much to ask for...

Anyone out there skilled at writing FARCE?

Some examples - screenplays such as 'Airplane', 'Kelly's Heroes', 'Bowfinger' or the 'Italian Job'(1969)?

Any suggestions for online-tips or helpful writing books?
Interested in exchanging related ideas on capers or send ups?

Its a wonderful genre, allows for high entertainment while still making a point, never mind many timeless memorable characters . . .

cheers

Its a wonderful genre, allows for high entertainment while still making a point, and who can forget some of the timeless memorable characters created?
