I'm looking for a beta for a YA/Fantasy titled SEALED (new-title-hunting as we speak). It's a second draft, so hopefully you'll have less mush to slog through.
Here's the premise:
Sadie, Jay, and Oliver have grown up together, and now they're running away together. Sadie and Jay are both Kinetics - people with the ability to control one of the four cardinal elements. For years they've dreamed of joining the Tournament, the famous series of challenges for Kinetics that brings the winner fame and fortune.
However, the battle for supremacy quickly becomes a battle of life or death, as Sadie and Jay discover that they are vessels for ancient forces whose conflict could destroy them both.
I'm not looking for a sentence-by-sentence crit or anything so in-depth. General suggestions would be perfect. There's no time constraint, either, so take as much time as you need. If you want to see a sample of my writing before you decide to beta, that's fine too.
And, of course, I'd be willing to beta something in return.
