Describing someone as having a Boston back bay lineage. So which is correct, the way I have it in the thread title or the way I used it in my first senence?
The word "the" precedes it when it's used as a noun, by many (but in my experience, not all). She moved to the Back Bay or Take the T to any stop in the Back Bay.
But when it's used as an adjective, no "the." She's a Back Bay real estate specialist, or Back Bay rents are among the highest.
