Hello,
I'm currently working on revising a first draft and have gotten to a point where I'm incapable of paying any attention to it because a) I've read it too many times b) my eyes will not focus on things anymore and c) I started replacing some words with "PTHPTHTHTPBTHT" as a placeholder because I can no longer remember any other words than those I have already used.
So. I was wondering if anyone would be kind enough to read it and tell me how egregious the sucking is...?
It's currently just under 75,000 words and it's an attempt to create a narrative story out of some of the mythology and religious texts from ancient Egypt.
I'd be willing to do a "I'll show you mine you show me yours" kind of thing (...in the beta-reading sense) (where beta-reading is not a euphemism). However, I have no experience in doing it and it would be more an opinion from your average dweeb on the street than anything else.
