In my current wip, there are two, alternating pov's. Each time I put the character's name under the chapter heading. (I've seen this done in published ya books with two or more pov's.)

My question is this: for plot related reasons, I'd like to be able to also note the day and time under some chapter headings. Which way would you do this:

A. Chapter One:
Character Name
Day, Time

or:

Chapter One:
Character Name, Day, Time

Still not clear on whether to use numerals or spell out chapter numbers. *doh*

The way I, personally, would do it would be to have the centered chapter head, and then in the body, I would have

Character Name
Date/Time

in bold, left justified, no indent.

I've seen it done, and the format doesn't matter. I guess for myself, I'd use the most compact form, the last one you list. I'd also express time as 'Wednesday, 8:30 a.m.' for purposes of compactness, but that's just me.
