Just saw this -
Readerotica is seeking 2500 word erotic stories to post as free reads on their site. They pay $50 or $100 in merchandise at Vibrators.com. The stories are free in order to generate a need for vibrators. That's what they say.

I read "They pay $50 or $100 in merchandise" as they either pay $50 cash or $100 in vouchers. I may easily be wrong.

I've never read an erotic story that sent me into a "frenzy" and compelled me to buy a vibrator, but maybe that's just me.

You are not required to incorporate Vibrators.com products into your story. That would be a bit too commercial for us. Readerotica contains short sponsorship messages between each short story instead.

I get the options, but the suggestion of being paid in vibrators is personally a bit off-putting. I would rather keep work in a work frame of interaction and dildo use in the personal sphere.

Normally, I'd want cash, but the extra $50 might be worthwhile if I had some toy shopping to do. $50 for 2500 words is better than most anthologies.

) I think the sale that member made was to a different toy site.

I used to think I would frame my first check for a short story sale. Since when I got it the check was for 7 pounds sterling, and the mag went under right after and I never got pubbed, I sort of mothballed it.

A majestic oak-framed glass case over the fireplace with a giant shiny dildo would be worth the frame just to watch my mom the first time she came over.......

He never mentioned his wife was a teller and his accounts were all at her credit union, but he said the girl who deposited the check couldn't make eye contact for the entire transaction and I was officially on his wife's shit list.....

Years ago I had a small business venture explode and the person returned my investment with "FUCK YOU!!!" written in the note section of the check. Since at the time I did all my banking in person, I was reluctant to take it in. I spoke to the bank manager, asking if the check was still good if I blacked over something in the notation. He asked to see it, suppressed his need to laugh, and said he'd cash it, not showing it to any of the tellers, and contact the bank on which it was written.

All these years later, I still hope she got into some trouble for it.
