As I'm sure you're aware, Neil Gaiman is attempting to start a tradition of giving scary books to people on Halloween. The first one was last year, and the website is here. I thought we could do with a thread of recommendations for books to give to people, and who better to ask than the good folks of the Horror boards?
I'll start. The books I've given have been Ray Bradbury's Something Wicked This Way Comes and Joe Hill's Horns. And if anybody fancies suggesting something I could get for my girlfriend - who usually reads historical fiction, and the only horror she's ever read was Cujo (which she loved) - then I'd greatly appreciate it!
