"Stan Berenstein, co-author of more than 200 books about a family of bears, has died. Berenstein passed away on Saturday in Pennsylvania at age 82. His wife Jan Berenstein co-wrote the Berenstain Bears series the first being published in 1962. The couple developed the series with childrens author Theodor Geisel better known as Dr. Suess." - The Associated Press

I feel this a big loss in the children book world as I really enjoyed the Berenstain Bear series. What were some of your favorite Berenstain Bear books?

A couple of mine were: "Berenstain Bears Go to School" and "Berenstain Bears New Baby".

I didn't read them, but my younger siblings did. Were they still writing or has it been a while since their last book?

Cheering you all on!

The only one I ever specifically remember is the one about not talking to strangers. Although, now that I'm thinking about it, there was the one where they made the No Girls & No Boys Allowed clubs.

I assume they were still writing. They had another book released not too long ago.

I think their sons were a part of writing and illustrating the books, too.
Yeah their sons Leo and Micheal did join them. You can visit the Berenstain Bears website.
