Hey everyone, I read through some of the self-pub diaries on here and found them really inspiring. I figured it might be fun to contribute my own!

My book, The Armpit of Evil went up for sale last week for 2.99 on kindle and 1.99 on SW. I've picked up about twenty sales so far, but I suspect the sales have come entirely from people I know.

Book details here: www.armpitofevil.com
Amazon version: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B005UUTSBC/?tag=absowrit-20

What's strange is that almost five times the number of people went the Kindle route compared the SW route. I suppose the ease of kindle-direct really has something going for it.

I'll update this with more info as I track progress. I've got some fun google analytic data of my main website too that I can sift through.

Hah, no axillism, AA. I didn't even know there was a word for that!

The name is a reference to a few things within the story, as well as something that catches the tone of the story a bit more than everything else I had on the table :)

A more-clever-than-me friend said; You should make a sequel and name it Axillists and Allies!

Anyway, 6 days, sitting at 16 Amazon sales and 6 Smashwords sales (plus 16 d/l-ed samples)! I'm not doing this for the money, but I've now official paid for my lunches for the week, so that's something!

It's time for my weekly check in! Well, looks like I'm settling in at about 21 sales from amazon and 10 from smashwords (with about 30 samples pushed). I don't think that's great for the first 3 weeks, but it's something.

I did get a bit on indie snippets though, which is a fun idea for a blog-site:

I've been investigating review sites, but most of them have a 6mo to a year turnaround time. That's quite a bit.
