I'm trying to establish something of a baseline for the way teenagers talk about sex, or perhaps the differences between the way boys and girls talk about it.
I'd like to rely solely on my own experience, but I really don't know if I'm in the mainstream on this subject or not.
I was lucky enough to have two almost entirely separate sets of friends, one composed entirely of guys, the other of girls.
When my guyfriends talked about sex, they got pretty raunchy when they were speaking in generalities. But when it got down to what they did with their girlfriends, not so much. If fact, for the most part they were pretty tight-lipped about it. Yeah, when knew what they did and in what position and all, but that was about it. I don't know if that's just the way that guys are, or if they were mum because of me.
My girlfriends, on the other hand, were quite the opposite. They wanted to know exactly how you did it, where, and for how long. How big was he? How long did he last? Was he any good? A good kisser? Did he go down one you? Did you come? How many times? And on, and on.
When we were in that thirteen to fifteen year group, it was very graphic. Granted, I'm pretty sure there was a lot of made up crap, but most of it wasn't. (Parents, be warned!)
Everything experimental was fair game. We kissed guys, we kissed girls, then we compared notes, (girls were, and still are, far better kissers.) We executed a grand scheme because we wanted to see a real life hard-on, not the stuff on the internet. Then we launched the same scheme when we learned one of our friend's brothers was uncircumcised.
When it came to talking about the sex we were having with our boyfriends, no question was off the table. Compared to my guyfriends, we were pretty horrible. I'm skipping most of it because I don't want to get kicked to the nc-17 forum, but you get the idea.
As we got to the sixteen to seventeen year-old phase, we matured a little, but conversations where still pretty raunchy. We still wanted to know if a guy was any good, how big he was, how long he could last, all that. I guess, looking back, we didn't really mature that much after all
