Text to sound comes included with macs for some time now...
No need to go paste it in any box, just highlight the text and press your chosen control. I tried it out to compare, but it did not work. Anyway, helpful indeed. Except intonation can't be faithfully executed and though an app like this helps to catch mistakes, it is still not a perfect replacement for reading out loud (sadly).

Not a bad app. My old Mac doesn't have text to sound, so I downloaded it.

Thanks.

Davem, text-to-sound has been embedded in the Mac OS since OS 9.

What Mac OS are you running? I can probably help you use text to sound.

(Check out TextEdit. Type some text, select it then choose Speech/Start speaking from the Edit menu. )

Mac's text to speech is great for catching "lulls" in stories and it creates a distance. I find it helpful for editing. Hope it will still improve further, but great job so far.
