October Writing Prompt

As Halloween nears, and witches, demons, ghosts, skulls, monsters, and black cats fill discount and drug store shelves, let's make October's writing prompt a horror-erotica hybrid. Recommended length no more than 1500 words, so you don't devote too much effort. Shorter is fine.

Stories must involve an element of horror as well as eroticism.

Let's remember the guidelines still apply--the 'horror' requirement doesn't give us license to bend or break them.

Coincidence? We are doing the same theme for our monthly prompt in the Horror forum.

Well, that's one of our options. So you may see some of us invading your SYW this month.

To read the rules, and to post your efforts or read the efforts of others at Share Your Work - Erotica, you need the Erotica SYW password. To get it, you PM ELMontague, veinglory, or me and state in the PM that you are 21 or more years old and want the password. This covers Mac's lovely derriere, in the legal sense, no matter where in the world you are. (I will be away much of this morning [US Eastern time morning], so act accordingly.)

Armed with the mighty password, you read the rules for posting here. You'll find them reasonable, I promise.

Visit the Writing Genre - Erotica board (this board) to post a link to their work at Horror SYW, so we can read it
Get the password (see above) for Erotica SYW so they can see ours, too.

This could be lots of fun, comparing and contrasting.

Actually, we are under strict orders to post ours in the Erotica SYW (not the Horror one) if we chose to do the Erotica prompt. And we've already been instructed to get the password for it.

I don't think I'll be able to post the story I'm working on. The guidelines state that "sexualized violence" will not be tolerated. Unless the guidelines could be loosened for this month? Otherwise, I'll have to ditch this story and try for something a whole lot less horrific.
