While I love writing novels I had an online friend who introduced me to a company called the Comicbook Artist Guild. Being a comicbook nerd and wanting experience working with a publisher I volunteered and submitted a few stories for the themes they were asking for at the time.

Well, my first ever publication is being debuted at the New York Comic Con. There's no pay for it but the idea of actually being published, though it's a small thing and not in my field of choice, is absolutely intoxicating. Now if only I could get past the query level with my novels :)

Anyhow, so if anyone's at the New York Comic Con October 13-16, 2011 feel free to stop by the Comicbook Artist Guild table and pick up the ICONIC 2 graphic novel. It's a collection that challenged writers to write an original story using characters in the public domain. I wrote a retelling of the origin of the Green Knight (of King Arthur fame).

Here's a couple pages that I wrote, drawn by a guy named Dave Johnson. I think I've grown as a writer since writing this but it's still exciting to see :)

Hobbit this is WAY cool. Congrats on being published, a great accomplishment! I'm going to be at Comicon on Saturday the 15th actually. I'll keep an eye out for this booth. I'm very interested in trying my hand at it.

IN regards to your attached page, I also have a soft spot or Arthurian legend so this was right up my alley. Very concise storytelling here and not easy given the subject matter. Good job, really enjoyed it.

Thank you. I'm very excited to hear what people though... good or bad. I'm eager to hear reviews but even more eager to finally get my copy of the graphic novel in the mail, which should be coming shortly after NYCC ends.
