Hi there

I'm an 'aspiring' author trying to get my head around the next steps once the novel is written and revisions nearing completion. I'm terrible at self-marketing and so I'm here to pick up tips too. I've been setting up a Linked In profile this evening and reading Query Shark, which terrified me. I am definitely not a humor writer and admire / envy anyone who can make others laugh or grab their instant attention with a few well chosen words.

Hoping to read and post a whole lot more! I see there's a magic number to reach.

Welcome to AW. Hope you enjoy your stay with us.
How do you like your popcorn?

If you go to the bottom of the page to the 'forum jump' you can scroll down and find all the areas of this place. After you post 50 posts you can use the SYW areas to get help there. The password for some of the areas is…..vista. A word to the wise, it would be a good idea to participate first in helping others before you think about posting your own work. After you have been around here for awhile, then post something of your own for help. Good luck.

Hi Maria! I'm a newbie here too. I look forward to bumping heads, and perhaps reading some of your stuff at some point in the future!

Thank you to all the welcomes! I'm going to go browse! This is a very distracting forum...
