I decided to come out of the shadows and gambol with the other slithy toves here in the wabe. I've been lurking for nearly a year now and have learned tons and tons thanks to everyone here. Thanks to the folks here (and a large hat-tip to Dean Wesley Smith's blog) I've published three short stories and started blogging. You can check out my blog and if you drop a link to your blog I'll jump over on yours.

I'm looking forward to being able to chime in here on the forums in the future and hopefully be abe to help some folks learn to. In the meantime I'll keep learning.

If you go to the bottom of the page to the 'forum jump' you can scroll down and find all the areas of this place. After you post 50 posts you can use the SYW areas to get help there. The password for some of the areas is…..vista. A word to the wise, it would be a good idea to participate first in helping others before you think about posting your own work. After you have been around here for awhile, then post something of your own for help. Good luck.

Absolute Write.

Don’t forget to read the FAQ regarding posting pictures at AW.


Members who want to start a thread in Share Your Work to have work critiqued need
50 posts. So take some time to greet fellow newbies, critique other members’
works, or join a discussion.

Thank you all for the warm welcome.

I like my popcorn with butter and salt (and I mean butter, like melted on the stove in a saucepan butter. The pre-bagged, pre-buttered, popcorn is convenient but not the genuine article!)
Just read through the Newbies guide. A quick question I hope, posting a link to my blog isn't considered posting work, is it? I'm not trying to leach here and just want to make sure I don't come off that way. Thanks!
